What You Need to Know About Digital Programs for Landscape Design

Designer, Project Manager, former Information Technology Specialist, and St. Louis Community College instructor, Elizabeth Desrosiers presented a live and recorded webinar on February 29th to help industry professionals learn processes, templates, and how to recognize good resources when determining digital tools for landscape design.

She went through workflows that can integrate useful programs for each step. Desrosiers went on to show attendees software criteria, 2D and 3D tools, and digital assets.

Desrosiers talked explained further workflow information that can be used during specific instances. One component that was particularly impactful were the selection criteria that you should be asking when determining your next steps.

Attendees also received valuable resources that include information about various program's costs, uses, and support.

This webinar walks through typical features provided by these tools, and recommends ways to prioritize your needs, compare costs, and find reliable sources for training and support.

Elizabeth Desrosiers
Elizabeth Desrosiers is a designer and project manager working at the intersection between horticulture, landscape design, digital technologies, and process improvement. At St. Louis Community College, Elizabeth guides horticulture students through the process of selecting digital tools, drafting site plans, and rendering those plans in two and three dimensions. With certifications in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Project Management, and Information Technology, plus experience using and teaching SketchUp, AutoCAD, VRAY, and Enscape, Elizabeth enjoys bringing a unique cross-functional skill set to the classroom to share with her students.
