Webinar Description:
In a world where we can build almost anything, anywhere, the question we have to ask is, Should we? If the answer is, Yes, then the next question is, how?

The answer for today’s landscapes is to design them in a way that promotes natural systems and processes.

The powerpoint, ‘Aligning with Natural Forces’, discusses how to design landscapes following natural systems. This approach requires a paradigm shift in thinking. It is a game-changer and often the reasons for implementing this shift are poorly articulated or executed.

This powerpoint offers the whys and hows of some popular sustainable landscape practices. It explains why this approach is so important and shares specific techniques. For example, you will learn how to design a drystream for the collection of surface runoff. You will also learn how to combine native plants (to the East Coast) in appealing and effective ways. And you will learn techniques for ‘taming a slope’. Also, you will learn about how important the soil is to the success of a newly installed landscape.

‘Aligning with Natural Forces’ is a great webinar for those who want to expand their skills and think about sustainable landscape design. And you will enjoy a beautifully illustrated talk by a talented and experienced professional.

Learning Objectives:
1. Learn the four principles of sustainable landscape design.
2. Learn how to combine plants that are native to East Coast of US in a design.
3. Learn how to slow down, filter, and reduce surface runoff water.
